How To Make Edges On A Lace Front Wig

Nowadays, human hair lace front wig gives us a whole new world of beauty, style, and trend. Laying your edges properly is one of the most important killers for making your lace front wig natural-looking. Edges are those fine baby hairs that grow along the circumference of your hairline. Edges can be styled with an edge brush, and this process is as known as "laying your edges". If you're new to lace front wigs or are just getting started in learning how to apply a lace front wig, you may be confused about how to make edges laid perfectly and invisibly. You can follow our tips below for learning how to make edges on a lace front wig.

Tip 1: pluck the hairline

Fix your lace front wig on a wig stand steadily. Then use high-quality tweezers to pluck out excess hair around the fral hairline to make it into a natural hairline shape instead of looking too wiggy or bulky. A wiggy or bulky hairline will turn your style into a disaster badly. On the other hand, a gradational hairline from sparse to dense in order will bring your look to a higher level significantly.

Note: do not over-pluck it or pluck the lace.

Tip 2: trim the lace

Try on the wig and pull the lace down over your forehead to get the hairline in the appropriate place and check it from all angles to make sure it looks natural and fitting. Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut and trim the excess lace down based on your hairline shape.

Tip 3: separate the parting

Use a fine-toothed comb to create a parting of your choice precisely and clip the hair on either side up, then blow-dry your hair up to reinforce the separation. You also can use mousse to define the parting.

Tip 3: Create the baby's hair

In order to mimic a natural hairline as much as possible, now it is time to create baby hairs. Use a rat-tail comb to pick out a few thin hair strands separated from the wig along your hairline, and then trim its length to around 1 inch waiting for subsequent styling.

Use hair gel and a toothbrush or an appropriate brush that is designed for laying baby hairs to create the baby hairs into small curves along your hairline according to your liking and parting.
